1. GENERAL RENTAL REQUIREMENTS THESE ARE THE GENERAL RENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF DOLLAR RENT A CAR. THE RENTAL COMPANY OPERATING THE DOLLAR RENT A CAR LOCATION (“DOLLAR”) MAY HAVE OTHER REQUIREMENTS. THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE RENTAL LOCATION WILL CONTROL. CHECK THE RENTING LOCATION FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS. FOR RENTALS OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES, PLEASE REFER TO THE LOCAL POLICIES WHERE YOU INTEND TO RENT THE DOLLAR VEHICLE.

1.1 Driving Age: The minimum age to rent a DOLLAR® vehicle at most DOLLAR locations in the United States is 25 years of age; however, drivers 21 to 24 years of age must pay an additional charge, which varies by DOLLAR location. Please refer to the Local Policies for specific information on driver ages at the DOLLAR location where you intend to rent a DOLLAR vehicle and the applicable charge for drivers 21 to 24 years of age.

1.2 Additional Authorized Drivers: An additional authorized driver must satisfy the age requirements of DOLLAR, have a valid driver's license and must meet other rental requirements, which vary by DOLLAR location. The additional driver may be required to present a major credit card at the time of rental. With some exceptions, an additional authorized driver will be required to pay an additional fee. An additional authorized driver for a disabled renter is not required to pay any additional fee. An additional authorized driver 21 to 24 years of age may be required to pay an additional fee because of such driver's age in addition to the additional driver fee. Because the requirements vary by DOLLAR location, please refer to the Local Policies for specific information on additional authorized or underage drivers at the DOLLAR location where you intend to rent a Dollar vehicle.

1.3 Gasoline Policy: Unless You choose the prepaid fuel option at the beginning of the rental, You must refill the gas tank of the Vehicle within a 10-mile radius of the rental return facility and present a fuel receipt to avoid a refueling charge. If You choose the prepaid fuel option, You agree to pay a specified charge as set forth in the Agreement and You have no obligation to return the Vehicle with a full tank of fuel. At most Dollar locations the prepaid fuel charge is calculated by multiplying the stated rate per gallon charge in the Agreement by the manufacturer's specified fuel tank capacity for the Vehicle. There is no credit or refund given for any fuel in the tank at the end of the rental. If You do not choose the prepaid fuel option and You do not return the Vehicle with a full tank of gas as described above, You will be required to pay a fuel charge to compensate Dollar for the cost and service of refueling the Vehicle. The fuel charge is based on the estimated number of gallons needed to refill the tank multiplied by the rate per gallon charge specified in the Agreement. Dollar may use different methods of estimating the number of gallons needed to refill the tank and these methods of estimation necessarily rely on human judgment. You acknowledge and agree that this charge is based in part on an estimate. Most Dollar locations estimate the number of gallons needed to refill the gas tank either (1) by reading the fuel gauge to estimate the approximate amount of fuel needed to refill the tank (for example, one-half tank) and multiplying that number by the manufacturer's specified fuel tank capacity, or (2) if the renter did not purchase any fuel during the rental, by reading the odometer to determine the amount of miles driven during the rental and dividing that number by the Vehicle's estimated average fuel efficiency (miles per gallon) based on the manufacturer's fuel efficiency specifications.

1.4 Geographic Limitations: At most locations, driving is restricted to the continental United States and Canada. Please refer to the Local Policies for specific information regarding geographic limitations at the DOLLAR location where you intend to rent a DOLLAR vehicle.

1.5 Disabled Renters: A. Available Driving Aids: If you require driving aids to operate a vehicle, please contact the DOLLAR location directly where you intend to rent a vehicle. This will ensure availability of equipment and allow DOLLAR personnel to install such equipment prior to your rental. B. Pick-up: We would also ask that you call the DOLLAR location prior to your arrival so that we may pick you and your traveling companion up, if any, upon arrival at the airport. At most locations, courtesy telephones are also available to contact us for pick-up. C. Additional Authorized Drivers: If your traveling companion shall serve as the driver during your rental, please advise the DOLLAR representative at the time of rental and pick-up. There is no additional charge for an additional authorized driver for non-driving disabled renters. Please refer to the Location Information for the telephone number for the DOLLAR location where you intend to rent a vehicle.

1.6 Driver Licenses: D. United States Citizens and U.S. Military Personnel: A renter or any additional authorized driver who is a citizen of the United States, must present at the time of rental: (1) a driver's license issued by any state, territory or possession of the United States, and valid for the entire rental period, or (2) a temporary driver's license, valid for the entire rental period, or (3) a traffic citation issued as a temporary license, valid for the entire rental period (the court date being the expiration date) and a second form of identification with signature (excluding the credit card used for rental), or (4) a valid U.S. military identification card plus an expired driver's license for active duty U.S. military personnel in those states where active duty U.S. military can drive on an expired driver's license. Active duty U.S. military personnel should contact the DOLLAR location directly where he/she intends to rent a vehicle or be an additional authorized driver. Canadian and Other Foreign Citizens: A renter or any additional authorized driver who is a citizen of Canada, must present at the time of rental, a driver's license issued by any province of Canada, and valid for the entire rental period. DOLLAR accepts foreign-issued driver's licenses at most locations. An International Driving Permit is not acceptable without the driver's license of the issuing country.

Please contact the DOLLAR location where you intend to rent a DOLLAR vehicle directly at the telephone number shown in the Location Information to reserve ski racks.

1.9 Debit Card usage: It is Dollar Rent A Car's policy to perform a credit inquiry on customers who present a debit card as payment at the time of rental. Dollar has contracted with Equifax Credit Information Services, Inc. to perform a CARcredit99Score. This type of inquiry is a credit evaluation service for the automobile financing and leasing industries. The credit inquiry is posted on the customer's credit report and may have an effect on the customer's credit evaluation. In the event that a customer's credit score does not meet the minimum required by Dollar Rent A Car, the customer will not be allowed to rent or provide another form of payment. Dollar's debit card policy complies with all applicable federal and state laws.

1.10 "Key Ring" Credit Cards: Dollar does not accept the small credit cards issued by credit card companies that fit on a key ring. In the event that a customer presents the key ring credit card at the time of rental, the rental location may ask you to present the standard size credit card or another form of payment.

1.11 Higher rental rates for New York City (Brooklyn, Bronx, and Queens) residents may apply as follows; • For Brooklyn residents the rates will be $77 higher per day. • For Bronx residents the rates will be $65 higher per day. • For Queens residents the rates will be $7 higher per day.

2. LIABILITY, INSURANCE AND OPTIONAL PROTECTION PACKAGE 2.1 Loss or Damage to the DOLLAR Vehicle: The renter is absolutely liable for any loss or damage to the rental vehicle, even if someone else caused it or the cause is unknown, whether due to theft, fire, hail, flood, collision, vandalism, or any other cause, subject to limitations imposed by the law where the vehicle is rented. This liability will not exceed the full value of the vehicle, plus: • Actual towing and storage charges; • Loss of use; • Diminution in value, regardless of whether the vehicle is repaired or not; • All rental charges through the date you report the incident if not returnable or the return date, whichever is later; • Any out-of-pocket expenses incurred by us as a result of the loss or damage to the vehicle; • A reasonable administrative fee, and • Pro-rata license plate fees, all as allowed by law.

2.2 Third Party Liability Claims: Unless otherwise required by applicable law, a renter and/or any additional authorized driver (and the respective insurance company of each) is primarily responsible for all third party claims of personal injury, including death, and property damage caused or arising from the use and operation of the Dollar vehicle during the rental. (To the extent DOLLAR is required to provide coverage, in spite of the terms of the rental agreement, it shall only be in an amount necessary to satisfy the minimum financial responsibility limits required by applicable law.)

2.3 Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Coverage: Where permitted by law, DOLLAR does not provide uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage. In those states where DOLLAR must provide such coverage, DOLLAR will only provide such coverage up to the minimum limits required by law. In some states, Dollar offers the option to purchase Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Protection ("UMP"). Please refer to the Optional Protection Package below for an explanation of this coverage.

2.4 Optional Protection Package: At the time of rental, DOLLAR offers for purchase at the option of the renter, Loss Damage Waiver ("LDW"), Personal Protection Plan ("PPP"), Personal Accident Insurance ("PAI"), Personal Effects Protection ("PEP"), , Supplemental Liability Insurance ("SLI") and Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Protection ("UMP"). The cost, coverage, provider and availability vary by location, vehicle category and rate. Please refer to the Location Policies to determine whether SLI is required for travel into Canada and the cost of such coverage. The optional products offered by us may duplicate coverage provided by your personal automobile insurance or insurance you may have through another source. Purchase of optional products is not required to rent the Vehicle. Separate brochures available at the rental location summarize the optional products.

2.4.1 Loss Damage Waiver ("LDW"): In the U.S., if you purchase the optional LDW Plan, we will waive your responsibility for loss or damage to the vehicle in full or in part (depending on the LDW plan you accept). LDW is not insurance. LDW does not apply if: (1) you use the vehicle in violation of the rental agreement; (2) you fail to remove the keys, or close and lock all windows, doors and trunk, and the vehicle is stolen or vandalized; (3) you fail to notify us and the police immediately after the loss; and (4) you fail to pay the charges under the rental agreement; or (5) as allowed by state law. Before deciding whether to purchase LDW, you may wish to determine whether your own automobile insurance or credit card agreement provides you coverage for rental vehicle damage or loss and determine the amount of the deductible under your own insurance coverage. The purchase of LDW is not mandatory. LDW is not insurance.

2.4.2 Personal Protection Plan ("PPP"): PPP includes Personal Accident Insurance ("PAI") and Personal Effects Protection (“PEP”) and where offered must be purchased together. (i) PAI provides benefits to you and your passengers for accidental medical expenses, ambulance expenses and accidental death benefits during the rental. If this optional coverage is purchased by a renter, the renter is covered twenty-four hours a day for all accidents, whether the renter is actually in the rental vehicle or not at the time of the accident. Passengers in a DOLLAR vehicle are only covered for accidents occurring while they occupy the DOLLAR vehicle. (ii) Personal Effects Protection ("PEP"): PEP insures the personal effects of the renter and any member of the renter's immediate family traveling with the renter. A member of a renter's immediate family must permanently reside in the renter's household. If this optional coverage is purchased by the renter, PEP covers only personal effects with which the renter or immediate family member are traveling. The total maximum coverage is $1,500. PEP pays covered claims even if the renter's homeowner's policy provides coverage.

2.4.3 Supplemental Liability Insurance ("SLI"): Where available, and for an additional daily charge, a renter may purchase SLI at the time of rental. If accepted, SLI provides the renter or any additional authorized driver as listed in the Rental Agreement (excluding the renter’s and any additional authorized driver’s family members related by blood, marriage or adoption and any other person residing with the renter or additional driver), with automobile liability coverage against third party claims for bodily injury, including death, and property damage resulting from an automobile accident in the DOLLAR vehicle, during the rental period, in excess of the coverage provided under the Rental Agreement up to a maximum protection of $1,000,000 combined single limit (CSL) per occurrence. The availability, cost and coverage can vary from location to location depending on the program details. Check with the rental location for details of their program. SLI does not provide coverage for uninsured and underinsured motorist protection except in New York. SLI does not apply in Mexico.
